You need a Zurelay account with some credit (from $10). Sign up and the dashboard opens on OpenClaw’s setup.

    Quickest: paste the setup message into OpenClaw. It saves the key, installs the Zurelay skill and checks the key works.

    By hand: put ZURELAY_API_KEY=… in ~/.openclaw/.env, then add the skill (Skill tab) or the MCP server (MCP tab) for videos, images and speech.

    To run OpenClaw itself on Zurelay’s models, add the provider (Models tab) and restart with openclaw gateway restart. Switch later with openclaw models set zurelay/<model-id>.

Skill or MCP server?

Either. The skill teaches OpenClaw Zurelay’s API, which it calls with curl; the MCP server gives it tools instead. Use one, not both.

Can OpenClaw run on Zurelay’s models?

Yes. Add Zurelay as a custom provider with the openai-completions API (not openai-responses) and pick any of 48 chat models, then switch with openclaw models set.

What does it cost?

Zurelay is prepaid, with no subscription. Videos cost from $0.019 a second, images from $0.016 each and speech from about $0.008 a minute, the same as through the API. Failed requests are free, and a video is charged only when it’s delivered.

How do I stop OpenClaw from spending too much?

Every connection is a key on your Keys page with a daily limit. Lower it, or revoke the key to disconnect. Your balance is a hard stop too: with auto-recharge off, nothing runs once it’s empty.
