What is Seedance 2.0 Fast?

Seedance 2.0 Fast is a quicker, lower-cost version of ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 video model, trading some quality for speed and price. It makes 480p and 720p clips from 4 to 15 seconds long, with generated sound, from text or images. On zurelay it starts at $0.074 per second of video, charged only once a video is delivered.

Seedance is ByteDance's family of video generation models. Seedance 2.0 Fast is the quicker, lower-cost version of Seedance 2.0: it takes the same inputs and makes the same resolutions and lengths, and trades some quality for speed and price. On zurelay it uses the model ID seedance-2.0-fast, and also accepts seedance-2-fast and bytedance/seedance-2-fast.

It makes video from a text prompt or from images: a first frame to animate, a first and a last frame to move between, or up to 9 reference images. It generates a soundtrack with the picture, such as sound effects and ambience, which you can turn off with generate_audio. Clips come in 480p or 720p, in whole seconds from 4 to 15, and in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 or 21:9, or adaptive to follow a first frame.

Video takes time, so the API is asynchronous. POST https://api.zurelay.com/v1/videos returns a job right away; poll GET /v1/videos/{id} until its status is completed, then download the MP4 from /v1/videos/{id}/content or from the signed url in the job. With Seedance 2.0 Fast a 5 second 720p clip usually takes about 3 minutes. Videos come back as MP4 (H.264, 24 fps) with an AAC soundtrack, and are kept for 30 days.

How much does the Seedance 2.0 Fast API cost?

zurelay charges by the second of video: $0.074 per second at 480p and $0.159 at 720p. A clip costs its length times that rate, so a 5 second 720p clip is $0.795. Sound, first and last frames, reference images and the aspect ratio don't change the price.

When am I charged for a video?

When zurelay accepts the job, its price is held from your balance, so videos in progress can never spend more than you have. It's charged only when the video is delivered. If a video fails, including when the content filter refuses the prompt or images, you pay nothing.

How do I call the Seedance 2.0 Fast API?

Send POST https://api.zurelay.com/v1/videos with your zurelay key as a Bearer token and a JSON body: model set to seedance-2.0-fast, a prompt, and optionally seconds (default 5), resolution (default 720p) and aspect_ratio (default 16:9). You get a job back right away. Poll GET /v1/videos/{id} every few seconds until its status is completed, then download the MP4 from /v1/videos/{id}/content. Any HTTP client works; there's no SDK to install.

Does Seedance 2.0 Fast make sound?

Yes. With generate_audio on, which is the default, the model generates a soundtrack along with the video, such as sound effects and ambience, and the MP4 carries it as AAC audio. Set generate_audio to false for a silent clip; the price is the same either way.

Can Seedance 2.0 Fast turn an image into a video?

Yes. Pass first_frame to animate an image, add last_frame to move between two images, or pass up to 9 reference_images to guide the video instead; reference images can't be combined with a first frame. Images can be https URLs or base64 data URLs of PNG, JPEG or WebP files up to 10 MB.
