Pricing
Pay as you go from prepaid credit, with no subscription and no minimum. A video is charged only once it's delivered; videos that fail cost nothing.
A clip costs its length in seconds times the price at its resolution. It's held from your balance when the job is accepted and charged when the video is delivered. Sound, first and last frames, reference images and the aspect ratio don't change the price.

Overview
Seedance 2.5 is the newest model in ByteDance's Seedance video family. It turns a text prompt, or a prompt with images, into a video with generated sound, at up to 1080p and up to 30 seconds long. The zurelay Seedance 2.5 API starts at $0.14 per second of video, and a video is charged only once it's delivered.
Seedance is ByteDance's family of video generation models, and Seedance 2.5 is its newest. Compared with Seedance 2.0 it adds 1080p output and clips up to 30 seconds long, and it follows long narrative prompts and reference images more closely. On zurelay it uses the model ID seedance-2.5, and also accepts seedance-2-5 and bytedance/seedance-2.5.
Like the 2.0 models, Seedance 2.5 makes video from text alone or from images: a first frame to animate, a first and a last frame to move between, or up to 9 reference images. It generates a soundtrack with the picture, such as sound effects and ambience, which you can turn off with generate_audio. Clips come in 480p, 720p or 1080p, in whole seconds from 4 to 30, and in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 or 21:9, or adaptive to follow a first frame.
Video takes time, so the API is asynchronous. POST https://api.zurelay.com/v1/videos returns a job right away; poll GET /v1/videos/{id} until its status is completed, then download the MP4 from /v1/videos/{id}/content or from the signed url in the job. A 5 second 720p clip usually takes about 5.5 minutes. Videos come back as MP4 (H.264, 24 fps) with an AAC soundtrack, and are kept for 30 days.
zurelay prices Seedance 2.5 by the second: $0.14 per second at 480p, $0.305 at 720p and $0.75 at 1080p, so a 5 second 720p clip costs $1.525. The price is held from your balance when the job is accepted and charged only when the video is delivered. Videos that fail, including ones the content filter refuses, cost nothing.

zurelay charges by the second of video: $0.14 per second at 480p, $0.305 at 720p and $0.75 at 1080p. A clip costs its length times that rate, so a 5 second 720p clip is $1.525. Sound, first and last frames, reference images and the aspect ratio don't change the price.
When zurelay accepts the job, its price is held from your balance, so videos in progress can never spend more than you have. It's charged only when the video is delivered. If a video fails, including when the content filter refuses the prompt or images, you pay nothing.
Send POST https://api.zurelay.com/v1/videos with your zurelay key as a Bearer token and a JSON body: model set to seedance-2.5, a prompt, and optionally seconds (default 5), resolution (default 720p) and aspect_ratio (default 16:9). You get a job back right away. Poll GET /v1/videos/{id} every few seconds until its status is completed, then download the MP4 from /v1/videos/{id}/content. Any HTTP client works; there's no SDK to install.
A 5 second 720p clip usually takes about 5.5 minutes. Longer clips and 1080p take longer. While you poll, the job's progress field gives an estimate from 0 to 100.
Yes. With generate_audio on, which is the default, the model generates a soundtrack along with the video, such as sound effects and ambience, and the MP4 carries it as AAC audio. Set generate_audio to false for a silent clip; the price is the same either way.
Yes. Pass first_frame to animate an image, add last_frame to move between two images, or pass up to 9 reference_images to guide the video instead; reference images can't be combined with a first frame. Images can be https URLs or base64 data URLs of PNG, JPEG or WebP files up to 10 MB. With a first frame, aspect_ratio defaults to adaptive and follows the image's shape.
480p, 720p and 1080p, in whole seconds from 4 to 30. Aspect ratios are 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 and 21:9, plus adaptive to follow a first frame. An OpenAI-style size such as 1280x720 works too. Videos come back as MP4 (H.264, 24 fps).
30 days. The url in a completed job is a signed link that lasts 24 hours; fetch the job again for a fresh one, or download through /v1/videos/{id}/content. GET /v1/videos lists your recent videos.
Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's newest: it adds 1080p and clips up to 30 seconds, and follows long narrative prompts and references more closely. For 720p clips of 15 seconds or less, Seedance 2.0 costs less per second, and Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini cost less again, trading some quality for speed and price. All four work with the same key, so you can compare them on your own prompts.
Yes. Your requests run on ByteDance's Seedance 2.5, and zurelay never swaps in a different or smaller model. Video generation varies from run to run, so the same prompt makes a different clip each time. zurelay is an independent service and is not affiliated with ByteDance.
Create a key in seconds, point the SDK you already use at zurelay, and every request costs up to 85% less from the first token.
