Is it the same Claude?

Yes. Each Claude model is served over several routes run by independent sellers, and every route is tested before it serves requests and every day after, with identity, dated-knowledge and reasoning checks that catch an older or different model sold under the name you asked for.

How much cheaper is it than Anthropic's API?

Every Claude model costs 46–65% less than Anthropic's list price, on input, output, cache reads and cache writes alike, from $0.04 per 1M input tokens.

Do prompt caching, tools and extended thinking work?

Yes. Requests go to POST /v1/messages in Anthropic's own format, and cache_control, tools, thinking and streaming pass through as Anthropic documents them. Cached tokens are billed at Zurelay's cache prices.

Do I need an Anthropic account?

No. You pay Zurelay from prepaid credit, from $10, with no subscription or minimum spend. Your Zurelay key is the only credential the Anthropic SDK or Claude Code needs.

Can I call Claude with the OpenAI SDK too?

Yes. The same key works at https://api.zurelay.com/v1 with OpenAI's Chat Completions format, so you can keep one client for Claude, GPT, Gemini and the rest.
